The Natural Products Expo<\/strong>\u2014one of the biggest trade shows in the world\u2014was bursting with flavor and creativity this year. From bold new launches to reinvented favorites, brands came ready to impress, inspire, and wow compassionate crowds with innovative vegan products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vegan options are leveling up in stores and restaurants everywhere. Take a look at some of the offerings we saw that are raising the bar for compassionate cuisine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Biggest Trends We Saw\u2014and the Products We Couldn\u2019t Get Enough Of<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Protein, Protein, Protein!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If there was one word dominating the show floor, it was protein<\/strong>. Protein-packed versions of nearly everything were on display: drinks, bagels, pasta, ramen, tortilla chips, cookies, yogurt, and even protein water from Beyond Test Kitchen<\/strong>. A few standout examples included Elmhurst\u2019s pistachio protein drink<\/strong>, Sun Noodles\u2019 protein ramen<\/strong>, and immi ramen<\/strong>, which leans hard into the \u201chigh-protein\u201d label with flavors like vegan shrimp, pork, beef, and chicken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protein-forward yogurts from Cocojune<\/strong> and Forager<\/strong> also stood out, along with savory options like Upton\u2019s Naturals shredded seitan in soy ginger sauce<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even spreads and pantry staples are getting the protein treatment, like Fab Butter<\/strong>, a nut-free, soy-free spread designed to pack in extra plant protein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bioalbumen<\/strong> caught attention with its non-animal egg protein, which delivers all the functions of egg whites\u2014foaming, gelling, and binding\u2014without exploiting gentle hens, who teach calls to their baby chicks before they even hatch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, vegans have known for decades that most people already get more protein than they need (it\u2019s fiber<\/em> that everyone\u2019s lacking!<\/strong>)\u2014but if you\u2019re chasing macro goals, there\u2019s no shortage of tasty vegan ways to get there faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flesh-Free Meats Keep Getting Better<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Another tasty trend across the expo floor was the explosion of next-generation vegan meats. JUST\u2019s <\/strong>tender shredded chicken continues to impress with its versatility, while Oshi<\/strong> delivered some of the most exciting vegan seafood products at the show. Everything from their flaky salmon<\/strong> to their delectable white fish<\/strong> was a hit, and their \u201cSurf n Turf\u201d box\u2014pairing their salmon with Offbeast\u2019s flesh-free steak\u2014was a crowd favorite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
