Public opinion continues to shift\u00a0in favor of orcas and other dolphins who have been waiting years\u2014sometimes\u00a0decades\u2014to be freed from the\u00a0small, unnatural tanks\u00a0where they are imprisoned at SeaWorld parks. The pools these intelligent animals are forced to live in allow them to dip a\u00a0mere 35 feet\u00a0<\/em>below the surface, while their free counterparts dive over three thousand feet <\/em>below the sea’s surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many people are refusing to buy a ticket to watch confined, frustrated animals perform pointless tricks, but SeaWorld is still trying to ignore the public\u2019s cries to release the orcas to seaside sanctuaries<\/strong>\u2014a viable and humane alternative to their tiny tanks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can help empty the tanks of this abuse<\/em>ment park by taking the actions below.<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. Contact SeaWorld on social media<\/strong> and politely ask questions about the animals it confines. Use the following examples, or think of your own: Why does SeaWorld refuse to release the animals to seaside sanctuaries? When will you release Corky from her prison? Why are you keeping orcas in tiny tanks where they\u2019re so frustrated they break their teeth chewing on the concrete walls and metal gates?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Take action on PETA\u2019s Rapid Action Center page<\/a><\/strong> for animals imprisoned at SeaWorld and urge companies to sever all ties with SeaWorld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
